The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is Nepal's most popular short trekking route and one of the most rewarding introductions to the Himalaya available anywhere in the world. Combining spectacular mountain panoramas, blooming rhododendron forests, and warm Gurung village hospitality, this trek delivers a genuinely memorable Himalayan experience in a compact and accessible format.

The trail climbs from Nayapul through the charming village of Tikhedhunga and the stone-stepped path to Ghorepani, passing through some of the most beautiful rhododendron and oak forests in the Annapurna Region. The pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill is the defining moment of the entire trek — a short but exhilarating climb rewarded by one of the most celebrated sunrise panoramas in Nepal, with Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and the full sweep of the Annapurna range glowing in the early morning light.

With Virgin Nepal Treks and Expeditions, this classic short trek is managed with the same care, professionalism, and personal attention that defines all of our trekking experiences.

Culture of the Annapurna Region

The Ghorepani trail passes through the heartland of the Gurung community, one of Nepal's most welcoming and culturally vibrant ethnic groups. Traditional stone villages, terraced farmlands, and small wayside shrines reflect a way of life deeply connected to the mountains. The warmth of teahouse hospitality along this well-loved route makes every evening on the trail as enjoyable as the walking itself.

Best Season

Spring (March to May): The most spectacular season for this trek, with rhododendron forests in full bloom and clear mountain views from Poon Hill at their absolute finest.

Autumn (September to November): Crisp, stable weather and outstanding mountain visibility make this an excellent and popular alternative season for the Poon Hill Trek.

Be a bird to fly in the sky .... Here we go .... paragliding in Pokhara today you after brekfast about 9 am need be ready for pargliding .This is a sport little bit adventure, after 30 minute driving you can fly from Sarangkot hill of Pokhara. The main area for flying in Nepal is the Annapurna region, more specifically the Pokhara valley.

This lakeside town is Nepal's second "city", nestled at the foot of the Annapurna Himal, the views commanded from here, of 3 of the worlds 8000m peaks, are unsurpassed. At an altitude of 800m ASL the subtropical climate means that, year round, it is short and T-shirt weather. The micro-climate of the valley makes it an ideal area for flying, with far more constant conditions than the Kathmandu valley 150km east.

There are several sites around Phew Tal (the lake) but the most accessible is Sarangkot (1500m ASL). A view point 700m above Pokhara, it is unique in that it has a road running to the top. A short walk brings you to the take off. With regular cycles providing easy reverse launches, you could not ask for a more picturesque site.

With the lake 2000ft below, the mountains behind. After Paragliding free activity ,and overnight at Pokhara
